The line from borrower intent to compliant disclosure.
We built Apsis Line as an upstream point of sale for zero-defect files, for banks, credit unions and independent lenders. It’s a borrower journey designed to reach a submittable file without a human, a loan-officer workspace that disciplines the file, and an intelligence layer we’ve built to prove what works on your own files.
- No artificial intelligence (AI) model produces, influences, or ranks a regulated decision, and a continuous integration (CI) gate fails our build if a model endpoint becomes reachable, by import, from any module that decides one.
- We build above the loan origination system (LOS) you already run, never against it. It’s LOS-agnostic by architecture, and today it’s optimized for Encompass from Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Every seat at the table sees the same file, so you’re never working from a stale copy.
Self-guided borrower journey
Cash-out refinance and purchase pre-approval journeys a borrower completes alone, plus a home-equity comparison that routes to the right one: honest side-by-side math, per-person consent, e-sign disclosures, and a submittable file at the end.
Borrower portal
One place your borrower comes back to. They can resume the application, see where it stands, upload documents to a private store and message their loan officer. Your staff can view it during a call, and only when the borrower grants it.
Loan officer workspace
The full Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA), Form 1003, per-borrower credit authorization, one services tray for credit, flood, fees, address verification, and compliance, and a disclosure launch that hard-gates until the file is clean.
Processor workspace
The document chase on one desk: open conditions and the service orders the platform placed, across the whole book. We kept it lean on purpose, so the deep per-loan work stays in the loan officer workspace.
Intelligence layer
Evidence signals we’ve built to tie to real outcomes: which experiences convert, which pricing choices close, and what your best performers do differently. We’ll measure it on your own files.
One engine, one file
We run all five surfaces around the same application, and one calculation engine does the math for every one of them, so the number your borrower sees is the number your loan officer sees.
In orbital mechanics, the line of apsides joins the two extremes of an orbit. So does this.
The two extremes of a mortgage are the borrower’s intent, fluid and unguided, and the compliant disclosure: rigid, regulated, legally pristine. Apsis Line is the axis that connects them.
Borrower intent
A homeowner arrives from an ad, a lead partner, or your website, fluid, unguided, and not ready to talk to anyone. Our journey meets them exactly there and runs their real numbers.
Deterministic rails
A fixed set of steps and one calculation engine. The payment a borrower sees on the workbench is the same number, to the cent, on the review screen, the disclosure package, and the file we push to your LOS. We improvise nothing.
Synchronous validation
Before we disclose anything, the file clears the services that make it real: flood determination, closing fees and an automated compliance review, with escrow readiness on top, and in the loan officer workspace soft and hard credit as well. We built the gate to fail closed: no clearance, no disclosures.
Compliant disclosure
The completed file goes to your LOS as the system of record: a MISMO 3.4 application push, generated disclosures, and e-sign delivery, and we run disclosures and delivery simulated until you connect your sandbox. Your LOS stays the source of truth, and we make sure what reaches it is clean.
Your borrowers get a guide who knows their numbers and never pushes.
Ava is the guide your borrowers meet on the journey. She walks them through it one step at a time, explains every figure in plain words, and tells them plainly when the numbers don’t work in their favor.
We wrote everything she says ahead of time, and we build it from the same numbers your disclosures use, so she never improvises a figure and never decides anything for anyone. A licensed loan officer reviews everything before anything moves forward.
She’s yours to rename. Give her your own name and your own look in Experience Studio, and your borrowers meet your guide on your domain.
- Hi, I’m Ava. I’ll walk with you through this, one step at a time.
- You’re always in control, nothing is submitted until you say so, and a licensed loan officer reviews everything before anything moves forward.
- Let's start with a few facts about your home. This isn't a credit application yet, so tell me what you know and we'll sharpen it as we go.
We don’t treat persuasive and compliant as a trade-off.
Honest math converts
We built the journey to only recommend a product where the borrower’s own numbers genuinely win. When they don’t, it says so and captures the lead instead of forcing the loan. Borrowers can open the math and check every step. Trust is the conversion strategy.
Fail-closed compliance
Disclosures can’t launch past an unclear compliance review, a missing flood determination or an unauthorized credit pull. The gate defaults to closed, and we treat an error as a hold, never a pass-through.
AI that stays out of the decision
Your AI and machine learning (ML) governance obligations now reach your vendors. We run optional model surfaces, each one you configure separately, and none of them can reach a regulated decision. A gate that fails our build enforces that, and we don’t leave it to a policy document. You get each entry for your inventory already tiered, with the evidence attached. How we govern AI →
Native system symbiosis
No new calculation engines and no shadow system of record. Apsis Line is an intelligent middleware layer that gets more out of the LOS investment you’ve already made, whichever LOS that is. Our integration is deepest today on Encompass, and we’ve built the same seams to wire to any MISMO-capable LOS.
